2024 Matchday Information

Washington, D.C. (03/26/2024) – The Washington Spirit celebrates a Women’s Empowerment Day as the team faces off against Utah Royals FC this Sunday, March 31st at 1:00pm. This season, the Spirit will offer enhanced entertainment options and amenities to fans to create an unforgettable atmosphere from the moment gates open until well after the final whistle blows.

Upon entry to Audi Field, the first 2,500 fans will receive a Washington Spirit branded crossbody belt bag. At all games this season, fans can expect to receive a matchday program featuring interesting information, articles, and more about the Washington Spirit.

The Spirit’s recently unveiled Cherry Blossom collection will be available at Audi Field Sunday. Fans who attended the Spirit’s win over Bay FC last Saturday had the first opportunity to shop the nine-piece collection. After selling out the stock in-stadium, the Spirit Shop has now made the collection available online. Due to overwhelming demand, orders are expected to ship in early to mid-April. Should you wish to get your hands on this exclusive merch sooner, the Spirit Shop will be restocked and ready for you at this Sunday’s match!

Select Spirit core collection items, which debuted at the Spirit’s First Look event, will also be available for purchase. In addition to being able to use their merch discount in-stadium, season ticket members will also receive a discount on jerseys.

In celebration of Women’s Empowerment Day, the Spirit is teaming up with TeamWork Online to host a Women in Sports panel featuring notable Spirit attendees, Kim Stone (CEO), Theresa McDonnell (COO), and Nicole Hawkins (Head of Communications and Community). Over 100 attendees have registered to hear from this star-studded panel.

On the Spirit Stage from 11:30am to 12:50pm, Sela Campbell will perform for fans. Campbell was an American Idol contestant and has been featured in multiple promotions for the show.  The Loudon County native was voted Vest Local Band/Musician in the Loudon Times Mirror and has performed hundreds of shows spanning across Virginia, DC, West Virginia, and Maryland. Campbell will serve as the National Anthem singer as well.

Prior to the match, look out for Angela Tate from Smithsonian – National Museum of African American History and Culture, who will be serving as the honorary captain for the match. Also, the Sea Cadet Corps will serve as the color guard.

Other exciting amenities available at the Spirit home opener include a robust Community Zone tabling area on the concourse by Section 136. Several community organizations will be in attendance.

Just outside of the stadium, Sandlot Bar will open for fans. This converted shipping container bar and event space has been serving up drinks and energy in locations around the DMV since 2018, when it debuted as an activation idea for the 2018 MLB All-Star Game at Nationals Park.

In the Premium Club, fans will be entertained by DJ Kidd Fresh and can partake in a photo opportunity, face painter, friendship bracelet station, and chalkboard mural.

As always, the expanded premium seating brings fans pitch side for an unparalleled experience. Field-level tables, loge boxes, and cabanas allow fans to immerse themselves in the action and a get truly pitch-side experience. SPIRITVILLE

On the East Concourse, Spiritville returns for another exciting season with EAFC stations, allowing fans to play as their favorite Spirit players. The kid’s zone, where the youngest fans can safely play on a soft play area or enjoy foosball, will also feature face painters.

Additionally, fans can enjoy the Spiritville beer garden, meet and take pictures with Spirit mascot, “PK,” and browse events and supporter group tables.

Guest Services

Introduced last season for the first time at Audi Field, the Washington Spirit, in partnership with D.C. United, installed a Mamava nursing pod for parents near Guest Services inside Gate A. The private, sanitary space provides comfortable seating and power outlets for pumping equipment. Keyless entry and vacancy alerts are available by downloading the Mamava app.

Fans are able to communicate with Audi Field officials via text with any questions, concerns or emergencies at the following number: 202-918-3838. All ticketed fans will also receive a post-match survey following each game to allow the club to offer continual improvements on the matchday experience.
