Title Match Will Take Place on October 29 at Audi Field.
Washington, D.C., (08/23/2022) – The 2022 NWSL Championship will be hosted by the defending champion Washington Spirit at Audi Field, the league announced today. On Saturday, October 29, the nation’s capital will host the ninth championship match in NWSL history at 8 p.m. EST.
This year’s championship match is the latest major event to be announced to be hosted at Audi Field. Last month, U.S. Soccer finalized plans for the USWNT to host Nigeria in a friendly in Washington, D.C. this September and, earlier this summer, MLS announced the stadium as the host of next year’s All-Star Game.
