CHICAGO (Feb. 7, 2022) – Washington Spirit forward Trinity Rodman will replace San Diego Wave FC defender Abby Dahlkemper on the U.S. Women’s National Team roster for the 2022 SheBelieves Cup, presented by Visa. Dahlkemper, a 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup champion and 2020 Olympian with 77 caps, has been ruled out due to a back injury. Rodman was originally going to train with the team for several days before the tournament, but now will be on the final SheBelieves Cup roster.
Rodman, the 2021 National Women’s Soccer League Rookie of the Year and the 2021 Chipotle U.S. Soccer Young Female Player of the Year, makes her first tournament roster for the senior National Team. The 19-year-old Rodman is one of two uncapped players on the 23-player roster along with goalkeeper Aubrey Kingsbury.

The 2022 SheBelieves Cup kicks off on Thursday, Feb. 17 at the Dignity Health Sports Park in Carson, Calif. as Iceland takes on New Zealand (5 p.m. PT) and the USA faces the Czech Republic (8 p.m. PT on ESPN and in Spanish on TUDN). The tournament resumes on Sunday, Feb. 20, also at DHSP, with the USA playing the first match of the day, against New Zealand (Noon PT on ABC and in Spanish on PrendeTV), while the Czech Republic will face Iceland (3 p.m. PT) in the second match of the day. The tournament concludes on Wednesday, Feb. 23 at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas, with New Zealand taking on the Czech Republic (5 p.m. CT) and the USA facing Iceland in the nightcap (8 p.m. CT on ESPN and in Spanish on PrendeTV).
Tickets for the 2022 SheBelieves Cup, presented by Visa are on sale via www.ussoccer.com. Tickets purchased will be valid for both matches on each matchday. In accordance with the local health authorities, and in cooperation with each stadium, as well as the U.S. Soccer medical team, tickets for these matches will be available at near full capacity. Coaches Circle and Presidents Circle members supporting the U.S. Soccer Development Fund can receive individual customer support and concierge services for their ticketing needs.
