Washington Spirit goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé has been tabbed as one of four nominees for the NWSL Save of the Week, following her standout performance in Saturday’s season-opening 1-0 loss to the North Carolina Courage.
Labbé racked up eight saves during the match, setting a new career high in NWSL play. The stop that earned her a nomination for NWSL Save of the Week came in the 65th minute, as the 2016 Rio Olympics bronze medalist made a diving stop on a shot by Jessica McDonald.
