Boyds, MD (November 13, 2017) – Washington Spirit goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé and defender Shelina Zadorsky each started and played the full 90 minutes, and forward/defender Lindsay Agnew played 29 minutes as a second half substitute for the Canada Women’s National Team on Sunday night against the U.S. Women’s National Team in front of 18,960 fans at Avaya Stadium in San Jose, California.
The USA won 3-1 on their home turf to close out the two-game set of friendlies, despite a four-save effort by Labbé. In the first leg, the side played to a 1-1 draw at BC Place in Vancouver, Canada on November 9, in which Labbé and Zadorksy helped lead the Canadian defense in limiting the potent American attack to just a lone goal.
Over the course of the two-game set, Labbé earned her 45th and 46th career international caps, while Zadorsky notched her 32nd and 33rd, and Agnew made her sixth appearance with the full national team at the age of 22.
