Leesburg, VA, (05/30/2022) – In celebration of Military Appreciation Night, the Washington Spirit will host Colonel Erica Rabe, a member of Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling’s first all-female command team, as an honorary captain Wednesday night at Segra Field. Colonel Rabe formed the groundbreaking command team in the fall of 2021 alongside Command Chief Master Sergeant Christy Peterson and Colonel Cat Logan. Additionally, the JBAB honor guard will be present at the match as special guests. Colonel Rabe will handle coin toss duties at midfield prior to kickoff.

To honor those who have served and continue to serve, the Spirit is excited to offer current and former military personnel access to discounted tickets for Wednesday night’s match. Current and veteran service members can purchase a ticket for up to 30% off. Military discount tickets can be purchased here or at the ticket office with a military ID on Wednesday.

The Washington Spirit host the Chicago Red Stars Wednesday night at Segra Field in Leesburg, Virginia in a rematch of last season’s league championship match. Fans can purchase tickets to the match here.
