Boyds, Md., (8/26/19) – Spirit forward Ashley Hatch has been nominated for the NWSL Goal of the Week Award for her headed effort in the 59th minute of the Spirit’s match at Audi Field against the Orlando Pride.
Hatch made a clever diagonal run through the penalty area, freeing her enough to connect with a Tori Huster cross that was whipped in from the right flank. The bullet header flew past Orlando goalkeeper Ashlyn Harris, putting the Spirit up for good.
