Boyds, MD (October 23, 2017) – The Washington Spirit has exercised contract options on 17 players for the 2018 NWSL season.

Players whose options were exercised for the 2018 season are: forwards Yanara Aedo, Lindsay Agnew, Cali Farquharson, Francisca Ordega, Arielle Ship and Cheyna Williams; midfielders Estefania Banini, Meggie Dougherty Howard, Tori Huster, Joanna Lohman, Morgan Proffitt and Havana Solaun; defenders Whitney Church, Caprice Dydasco, Estelle Johnson and Alyssa Kleiner; and goalkeeper DiDi Haracic.

U.S. Women’s National Team forward Mallory Pugh, as well as Canadian international goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé and defender Shelina Zadorsky will remain on the club’s roster as Federation Players.

The Spirit has also offered new contracts to defender Kassey Kallman and goalkeeper Kelsey Wys.

Midfielder Line Sigvardsen Jensen will be placed on the Re-Entry Wire as she recovers from a torn ACL in Denmark.
