Washington, D.C. (01/19/2023) – The Washington Spirit has named Kate Greenberg as its new Vice President of Marketing and Communications. Working closely with President of Business Operations Emma May, Greenberg will lead team business functions including marketing and content, communications, community relations, fan experience and match operations.

An established leader with strong ties to the DC region, she is the perfect person to lead our marketing team during an important rebuilding time for our club.”
Greenberg joins the Spirit after a successful tenure as Chief Marketing and Development Officer for Washington Nationals Philanthropies, the official charitable arm of the Washington Nationals. “The Washington sports market is the District of Champions, and the Spirit is no exception,” Greenberg said. “Owner Michele Kang has a clear vision to deliver excellence on and off the field, propelling the club to the height of women’s professional sports in both sporting and business operations. I am eager to work alongside Michele and Emma to deliver this vision.”
