Washington, D.C. (09/23/2022) – As part of the club’s Pride Celebration match on Saturday, September 10, the Washington Spirit is auctioning off signed, match-worn Pride jerseys to the highest bidders.

The jerseys up for auction were specifically designed for the Spirit’s Pride Celebration. Bidders have the opportunity to bid on individually signed and match-worn player jerseys as well as a special jersey signed by the entire team. Bidding will close on Saturday, September 24 at 1:45 p.m. EST. The auction is now live and can be accessed on the SMYAL website and here.

All proceeds from the auction will go to Supporting and Mentoring Youth Advocates and Leaders. SMYAL supports and empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan region. Through youth leadership, SMYAL creates opportunities for LGBTQ youth to build self-confidence, develop critical life skills and engage their peers and community through service and advocacy. Committed to social change, SMYAL builds, sustains, and advocates for programs, policies, and services that LGBTQ youth need as they grow into adulthood.
