Chantel Jones also played the entire match for Canberra. Game Recap.

League leaders win over Melbourne

Melbourne shocked by Adelaide United

NATIONAL TEAM NEWS

Matheson injures ACL
Diana Matheson unfortunately tore her left ACL while playing for the Canadian WNT against Japan. We wish her a speedy recovery and know she will do everything she can to get back on the field as soon as possible! If you want to send her some Spirit love, tweet her @dmatheson8. Without her, the Can WNT went on to lose a very close battle with Japan, losing 3-2 on pretty much the final kick of the match. Even with a loss, Canada can take confidence from hanging with the reigning Women’s World Cup champions for the entire match, which bodes well for them for next year’s Women’s World Cup in their home country. Game Recap.
