National Women’s Soccer League Release
CHICAGO and Boyds, MD (July 13, 2017) – Washington Spirit midfielder Line Sigvardsen Jensen is among a group of seven players from the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) set to represent their respective national teams at the UEFA Women’s EURO 2017 when the tournament kicks off July 16.
Players from the league are in line to suit up for their countries in 16 of the 24 group stage matches – including both games on the opening day of the tournament as 16 of Europe’s best will compete to lift one of the most prestigious trophies in women’s international soccer.

Format
Sixteen countries were drawn into four groups – with the host Netherlands in Group A; reigning champions Germany in Group B; France (No. 3 in the latest FIFA World Rankings) in Group C; England (No. 5 in the latest FIFA World Rankings) in Group D.
Group A: Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Belgium
Group B: Germany, Sweden, Italy, Russia
Group C: France, Iceland, Austria, Switzerland
Group D: England, Scotland, Spain, Portugal
The group stage will last July 16-27 with the top two teams from each group moving on to the knockout stages – beginning with the quarterfinals July 29 and 30 followed by the semifinals Aug. 3 and the final Aug. 6.
