BOYDS, MD. (Mar. 14, 2016) – The Washington Spirit opened its NWSL 2016 training camp today, Monday, March 14. The team will complete a full week of training before the first preseason match at 7:00 PM on Saturday at Maureen Hendricks Field against University of Virginia.
The Spirit acquired a few new players in the off season, including forward Katie Stengel and defender Alyssa Kleiner. The Spirit also received two new Canadian allocations – defender Shelina Zadorsky and goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé.
