Boyds, MD (March 26, 2018) – After sustaining a torn ACL in the Washington Spirit’s 2017 NWSL regular season opener, midfielder Joanna Lohman spent the last year working to get back on the field. On Saturday, Lohman opened the 2018 NWSL season by scoring the club’s first goal of the year in the 68th minute against Seattle Reign FC.

That goal has now been selected as one of four nominees for the NWSL Goal of the Week for Week 1.
