Boyds, MD (August 1, 2017) – The Washington Spirit will travel to face Sky Blue FC on Friday, August 4 in the teams’ second of three match-ups during the 2017 NWSL regular season. The live stream will be available on the go90 mobile app and website, starting at 7 p.m. ET.
Friday will mark the first of two visits to Yurcak Field this season for the Spirit. Washington won the season’s first match-up between the sides in a thrilling 4-3 game on May 6 at the Maryland SoccerPlex, as Francisca Ordega netted two goals and assisted another to earn NWSL Player of the Week honors.
This weekend’s trip to New Jersey will be the third of four consecutive road games for Washington. The Spirit will play next at home on August 12 against the Boston Breakers. [TICKETS]

Johnson, a two-time NWSL Team of the Month selection by the NWSL Media Association, has led the Spirit back line this season by winning more than two thirds of the 92 duels for the ball that she has engaged in through her first 14 games.
70 – Defensive clearances by Shelina Zadorsky
Only three players in the NWSL – Chicago’s Katie Naughton (114), Kansas City’s Becky Sauerbrunn (85) and Seattle’s Kristen McNabb (71) – have made more clearances than Zadorsky.
6 – Big chances saved by Stephanie Labbé
According to Opta, the NWSL’s sports data provider, Labbé’s six saves so far this season on the most dangerous of opposing scoring opportunities are tied for the third-most in the league.
