First 1,000 kids to enter Audi Field eat free during Saturday’s game 

 

2023 Matchday Information 

 

Washington, D.C. (06/06/2023) – Saturday night, the Spirit celebrate the youngest soccer stars in the DMV in a highly anticipated match versus Angel City FC. The first 1,000 kids who attend the match will be eligible for a free meal voucher – which will be distributed upon entry to Audi Field as a separate, physical ticket. The kids-eat-free special menu will include options such as chicken tenders and fries, hot dogs and chips, popcorn, or a pretzel.  Additionally, the first 1,000 fans over the age of 21 will receive a voucher for a 12 oz. can of Heineken Silver.

Due to overwhelming success, the Spirit are once again offering an unbeatable $99 unlimited food and beverage ticket package that includes access to EagleBank club. This popular deal comes with club level seating, premium food options, unlimited beer, wine, and fountain drinks, as well as a host of entertainment options such as a DJ, friendship bracelet station, and airbrush tattoos. Keeping with the youth theme, a young rapper will entertain fans at the Spirit Stage from 7 to 7:45 p.m. before kickoff. This award-winning performer has been featured by the Kennedy Center and performed at music festivals. Their act will be supplemented by DJ Malcolm Xavier.   

 

Fans should get to their seats before kickoff as legendary Coach Lincoln Phillips will serve as the Spirit’s honorary captain. A stalwart in the D.C. soccer community, Phillips became the first black professional soccer coach in U.S. history when he became coach of the Washington Darts in 1968. Additionally, he coached at Howard University where he led the Bison to two undefeated seasons and NCAA Championships. 

 

Hailey Coleman of the Children’s Chorus of Washington will perform the National Anthem, while Storm Smith and Gwen Markel will provide ASL translation. The US Naval Sea Cadet Corps of Fredrick, MD will act as the Color Guard.

Tickets start at just $15 for Saturday’s match against Angel City FC. As always, the Spirit’s expanded premium seating brings fans pitch side for an unparalleled experience. Main Concourse 

On the East Concourse, Spiritville returns with a FIFA Lounge, allowing fans to play as their favorite Spirit players. The kid’s zone, where the youngest fans can safely play on a soft play area or enjoy foosball, face painters, kick zone, a chalkboard mural and more, will be expanded for this match.  

 

Guest Services 

Introduced this season for the first time at Audi Field, the Washington Spirit, in partnership with D.C. United, recently introduced a Mamava nursing pod for parents on the East Concourse. The private, sanitary space provides comfortable seating and power outlets for pumping equipment. Keyless entry and vacancy alerts are available by downloading the Mamava app. 

 

New this season, fans are able to communicate with Audi Field officials via text with any questions, concerns or emergencies at the following number: 202-918-3838. All ticketed fans will also receive a post-match survey following each game to allow the club to offer continual improvements on the matchday experience. 

 

Parking 

Additional parking will be made available for guests at the GEICO Parking Garage on 1500 South Capitol Street SE, Washington, D.C, 20003. The garage will open at 5:00 p.m. and will close approximately one hour after the event. There will be 600 spaces to be utilized on a first come, first serve basis and will cost guests $50. No tailgating will be allowed, and only credit/debit is accepted. Fans should be cognizant of the Washington Nationals game that is set to begin at 4:10 p.m. the same day.
