Leesburg, VA (07/08/21) – The Washington Spirit have signed Taylor Aylmer and Morgan Goff to National Team Replacement contracts.

Taylor Aylmer, a Garnerville, New York native, is a midfielder who graduated in 2020 from Rutgers University. Before joining the Spirit, Aylmer was a National Team Replacement Player for NJ/NY Gotham FC during the 2021 NWSL Challenge Cup where she made one appearance. During her four years at Rutgers, Aylmer played in 85 games, scoring four goals and recording 17 assists. Aylmer will wear number 26 for the Spirit.

Morgan Goff is a defender and midfielder from Dunn, North Carolina. Goff is a graduate of the University of North Carolina where she played in 101 career games. Most recently, Goff played for Þróttur of the Úrvalsdeild kvenna in Iceland. Goff will wear number 28 for the Spirit and will be available once U.S. Soccer confirms receipt of her International Transfer Certificate.

Spirit Chief Soccer Officer and President of Sporting Operations Larry Best had this to say about the signings: “We welcome both Morgan and Taylor to the Spirit Family. As a NTRP, it’s a great opportunity to join our roster and we look forward to having them as part of our team both on and off the field.”

The Spirit will return to Audi Field this weekend to take on the first-place North Carolina Courage on Saturday, July 10 at 7:00 p.m. ET. The match can be streamed on Paramount+ in the US and on Twitch for international viewers.
