Leesburg, Virginia (05/28/21) – The Washington Spirit is proud to announce the signing of seven new partners as a part of the Alliance Partnership Program.

The Partnership Program will generate more opportunities at the club and youth player level by connecting local youth programs with the professional coaches and players at the Washington Spirit. Through this program, partner members are able to interact with the players and coaches of the Spirit by attending question and answer sessions and coaching series with our technical staff, and many other exclusive opportunities and events.

In addition to youth clubs, the program has expanded to serve local college programs as well. Since the extension of the program in February, there are now 44 youth partners, and 13 colleges. The Spirit is excited for future signings.

University of Richmond’s Head Women’s Soccer Coach, Marty Beal, had this to say about the program: “I’m very excited about this partnership with the Washington Spirit. Our values align with their desire to grow the game and this is a fantastic opportunity that we couldn’t pass up on. This is a mutually beneficial partnership that will help grow their club‘s support and a big step for us in developing our Spider Soccer Professional Pathway.”

Undefined Futbol’s Francisco Ascencio, said this about joining the program: “It’s an honor for Undefined Futbol to be in the Alliance Partnership with the Washington Spirit. We’ve received much support from this great soccer team in our mission to grow and serve the global freestyle soccer community. We’re very excited about the future of us working together!”
