Leesburg, VA., (02/09/21) – Sweden Women’s National Team Head Coach Peter Gerhardsson has named Spirit midfielder Julia Roddar to the 27-player roster for Sweden’s upcoming matches set to be held February 19 and 23 in Malta.

The Sweden National Team will play two friendlies, facing Austria on February 19 (9 a.m. ET) and squaring off against Malta on February 23 (8:30 a.m. ET). The games will be the first two of the year for the third-place team at the 2019 World Cup. Sweden last played in December 2020 for a European qualification fixture against Slovakia.

Roddar also played one season at the University of Wisconsin, making 20 appearances, before transferring to Florida Gulf Coast University, where she would start 62 times, score four goals and add 10 assists.
