Boyds, MD., (12/16/20) –The Washington Spirit continued the club’s 2020 Advanced Development Program (ADP) last Sunday night with a virtual classroom session via Zoom.

The session was run by Talent Development & Scouting Manager KJ Spisak with special guests Andi Sullivan and Natalie Jacobs. In total, 52 players participated from 10 different clubs across the area.

Throughout the session, participants learned about what it takes to become a professional athlete and how Sullivan and Jacobs made it through the youth ranks to the professional level.

Sullivan had this to say about the session: “It was great to chat with the ADP players. Natalie and I were able to share aspects of our journeys from youth to college to professional soccer. Hopefully our perspectives can help them on their own paths. We always enjoy the opportunity to connect with the next generation of players.”

This was the final ADP session for 2020, but the program will be back in early 2021 to help continue to grow the game in the community.
