Boyds, MD – Saturday, September 28, 2019: The Washington Spirit defeated the North Carolina Courage 2-1 at Maureen Hendricks Field, Maryland SoccerPlex.

Chicago, IL., (3/20/20) – The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) has extended its training moratorium for all clubs through, and including, April 5, 2020. Read the official statement below:

“As we continue to follow the guidelines released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Women’s Soccer League has extended its training moratorium through and including Sunday, April 5, 2020. 
As a result, our regular season start, scheduled for April 18, will be delayed. We are considering all possible implications for the pre-season and regular season schedules while prioritizing the health and safety of our players, staff and fans. We will continue to provide updates on nwslsoccer.com and through our social media channels.
The NWSL remains in close contact with its clubs, local and state health agencies, and the NWSL medical task force, and will continue to follow guidance from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on this continually evolving situation.”
