Boyds, Md., (1/24/2020) – The Washington Spirit is excited to announce its partnership with the Mid-Atlantic Ford Dealers. Through this collaboration, Ford will serve as the Official Automotive Sponsor of the Washington Spirit, supporting the team for the upcoming 2020 season and strengthening their advocacy of women in sports.
Ford will have a significant presence at all Spirit regular-season games, including the presentation of a “Built Ford Tough Player of the Week” award for every home match.
“The Mid-Atlantic Ford Dealers are proud to be driving the celebration of women’s achievements both on and off the field, and are thrilled to be involved with the Washington Spirit organization to help provide those opportunities,” Baltimore-Washington FDAF Chairman Shawn Lynes said in a statement.
“Supporting the team as they work to bring a Championship to our community is something we’re very enthusiastic about,” Lynes continued. “We know that not only are our F-Series trucks the #1 selling in the Mid-Atlantic, but they’re Built Ford Tough to get the job done, just like the women of the Washington Spirit, making this a perfect partnership.
Washington Spirit majority owner Steve Baldwin had this to say on the partnership: “We are delighted to bring a world-class brand like Ford into the Spirit family.
