Cary, N.C. – Wednesday October 10, 2018: The women’s national teams of the United States (USA) and Trinidad & Tobago (TNT) play in a 2018 CONCACAF Women’s Championship game at Sahlen’s Stadium at WakeMed Soccer Park.

Boyds, Md. (3/21/19) – Mallory Pugh has been named to the U.S. WNT roster for two upcoming friendlies against Australia and Belgium along with two Spirit teammates, Rose Lavelle and Andi Sullivan.

For Pugh, it’s a special chance to return to her home state of Colorado and play just 45 minutes from where she grew up in Highlands Ranch, CO. The excitement is definitely there for Pugh who said “I’m so excited to be playing in Denver. Anytime you are able to play in front of your hometown it is such an exciting time.”

This homecoming will be yet another chance for her friends and family to see her play live. “My family and friends will all be there so to have them in the stands means a lot to me.” Pugh continued, “There’s really nothing better than playing for your country in the place that shaped the person and player you are.”

You can watch Pugh along with Lavelle and Sullivan face Australia on April 4 at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colo. (9 p.m. ET on FS1) and Belgium on April 7 at Banc of California Stadium in Los Angeles (9 p.m. ET on ESPN2).
