Baltimore, MD – January 15, 2015: The National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) held their 2016 draft at the Baltimore Convention Center.

Boyds, Md. (March 15, 2019) – Washington Spirit players, including draftees, transfers, and returning players, have been assigned new jersey numbers for the 2019 NWSL season.

Midfielders Rose Lavelle and Andi Sullivan have changed their jersey numbers, while draft picks Sam Staab, Jordan DiBiasi, Tegan McGrady, Bayley Feist, and Dorian Bailey selected their jersey numbers. In addition, Australian newcomer Amy Harrison has changed numbers after transferring from Sydney FC.

Lavelle will be wearing the Spirit’s No. 10 this year, while Sullivan will be taking over number 12. Midfielders DiBiasi, Feist and Bailey will be wearing No. 4, 13, and 19, respectively, while defenders Staab and McGrady will don No. 3 and 9. McGrady is the only Spirit draftee that will be keeping her collegiate number as a pro.

Matilda transfer Harrison wore number 8 at Sydney FC, but will move down one spot and wear the No. 7 jersey with the Spirit, while her Australian counterpart Chloe Logarzo will retain her No. 6 jersey.

Other new signees Megan Crosson and Paige Nielsen also received their numbers, as Crosson took over the number 5 and Nielsen took the number 14.
