Chester, PA – Wednesday February 27, 2019: The women’s national teams of the United States (USA) and Japan (JPN) play in a 2019 SheBelieves Cup early round match at Talen Energy Stadium.

Boyds, Md. (March 2, 2019) – Washington Spirit players Rose Lavelle, Mallory Pugh, Andi Sullivan and rest of the U.S. Women’s National Team will face England on Saturday as the 2019 She Believes Cup resumes. Kickoff from Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn. is set for 4:30 p.m. ET, and the match will be shown live on FOX.

Lavelle and Pugh were featured in the USA’s starting lineup in Wednesday’s 2-2 draw against Japan. Lavelle played the full match and Pugh tallied 75 minutes. It was Pugh’s 46th career appearance with the senior team, while Lavelle notched her 22nd cap.

After leading 2-1 in the 91st minute, the U.S. conceded a stoppage time goal to Japan’s Yuka Momiki, coming away with one point. England took away all three points by defeating Brazil 2-1 in their opening match after trailing 0-1 at halftime.

With a victory in their second match against England, the U.S. could take over first place in the tournament, with a final matchup against Brazil to follow on Tuesday, March 5.
