Boyds, MD (2/19/19) – Washington Spirit Academy – MD standout Jordan Canniff will join the U.S. U-20 Women’s National Team for their first action of 2019, a three-game tournament in La Manga, Spain from Feb. 24 to March 6.
The U.S. will take on the Under-19 sides from Germany on March 1, France on March 3 and Sweden on March 7.
Canniff is no stranger to international duty, as she also joined the U.S. U-17s during their 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup run late last year, appearing in every game. Canniff is a 2020 Penn State University commit, and has scored 9 goals in 28 career games for the U.S. U-17 Women’s National Team.
The U-20 roster is a mixture of collegiate and youth club players, with seven players enrolled in college. Eight of the 13 youth club players on the roster currently play in the U.S. Soccer Development Academy. Coach Mark Carr led the team during the U-17 World Cup, and will also be at the helm in La Manga.
