San Jose, CA – November 12, 2017: The USWNT defeated Canada 3-1 during an international friendly at Avaya Stadium.

Boyds, MD (November 28, 2017) – All three members of the Washington Spirit’s Canadian international contingent – Lindsay AgnewStephanie Labbé and Shelina Zadorsky – were included in the Canada Women’s National Team starting lineup as they closed out their 2017 schedule with a 3-2 win over Norway.

The Canadians overcame a 2-0 halftime deficit, scoring three unanswered goals in the 52nd, 64th and 66th minutes to pull off the comeback win in the international friendly, played at Marbella Stadium in the coastal city of Marbella, Spain. [Box Score]

Agnew started the game at right back for her seventh cap, playing 58 minutes before coming off for Adriana Leon. She recorded a shot on goal in the 39th minute, forcing Norway goalkeeper Cecilie Fiskerstrand to make a tough save.

Labbé recorded her 47th career international cap, playing the full 90 minutes in net. She made a critical save in the 12th minute, cutting off a close range shot by Norway’s Caroline Graham Hansen, and in the 21st minute, knocked away a dangerous cross in the box.

Zadorsky played the full 90 minutes as well in her 34th international appearance, anchoring the back line from her center back position. Zadorsky started the play which led to Canada’s final goal, winning a ball and making a strong pass to set up an Ashley Lawrence run up the right flank, which ultimately gave way to Leon’s game-winner.
