Boyds, MD (July 13, 2017) – Washington Spirit forward Cali Farquharson is now available for selection after being the removed from the disabled list.

Farquharson has completed a full recovery from a torn left ACL. She sustained the injury while playing for the Spirit on September 7, 2016 in a game against Seattle Reign FC. The 23-year-old was cleared to return for game action on Monday, July 10.

“Cali has done a tremendous job through the recovery process,” said Spirit head coach and general manager Jim Gabarra. “She has looked very sharp in training and is ready to go.”

The Spirit drafted Farquharson out of Arizona State University with the 12th overall pick in the 2016 NWSL College Draft. She made 16 appearances, including eight starts while totaling 561 minutes during her rookie season.

Washington begins a four-game road stint this Saturday, July 15 against the Houston Dash. Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET at BBVA Compass Stadium with a live stream available on the go90 mobile app and website.
