Boyds, MD (July 5, 2017) – Washington Spirit goalkeeper Stephanie Labbé has been voted as the winner for NWSL Save of the Week for the 11th week of the 2017 season.
Labbé earned the nomination this week for a one-handed leaping save, tapping away a long distance strike from Morgan Andrews which was headed for the upper shelf, in the 25th minute of Washington’s 1-0 road loss to the Boston Breakers on Saturday.
Voting for the NWSL Save of the Week takes place exclusively on the @NWSL Twitter page. This week, Spirit fans made their voices heard, casting the most votes using the hashtag #LabbeSOW.
