Boyds, MD (June 11, 2017) – Washington Spirit players Stephanie Labbé, Shelina Zadorsky and Lindsay Agnew each made the starting lineup for the Canada Women’s National Team on Sunday, contributing to a dominant 6-0 clean sheet victory in a friendly against Costa Rica.

Labbé played the entire first half as Canada jumped out to a 4-0 lead, before coming off for Kailen Sheridan to start the second half. Labbé played 135 minutes between the posts during Canada’s two-game stint against Costa Rica, which began with a 3-1 victory on Thursday.

Zadorsky and Agnew each played the full 90 minutes on the back line, working along with Labbé and Sheridan in the shutout. Agnew earned her first career start with the full team on Sunday, after playing 79 minutes in Thursday’s win. Zadorksy made her 29th career start in her 31st appearance on Sunday. She also played the full 90 minutes during Thursday’s victory.

Labbé, Zadorsky and Agnew return to Washington Spirit training this week ahead of the team’s next contest, a road game at the Chicago Red Stars on Saturday, June 17 in the NWSL on Lifetime Game of the Week.
