BOYDS, MD (April 7, 2017) – The kickoff times for three Washington Spirit 2017 NWSL regular season home matches have each been changed to 7 p.m. ET.
Washington’s match-ups with Sky Blue FC (Saturday, May 6), FC Kansas City (Saturday, May 20) and Seattle Reign FC (Saturday, September 30) will now take place in primetime at Maureen Hendricks Field.
This season, the Spirit will play an unprecedented 11 regular season home games on Saturdays, the most fan-friendly day of the week for NWSL attendance. With the updated start times, eight of those 11 Saturday match-ups will be in primetime.
Tickets for those matches and all 12 of the Spirit’s regular season home games are available now at https://tickets.washingtonspirit.com.
The Spirit will open the regular season on Saturday, April 15 at Maureen Hendricks Field in a re-match of the 2016 NWSL Championship against the North Carolina Courage, formerly known as the Western New York Flash. Kickoff is set for 3 p.m. [Tickets]
