BOYDS, Md. (Oct 12, 2016) – Washington Spirit defender Caprice Dydasco tore her left ACL during the NWSL Championship against Western New York Flash on Sunday, October 9. The Honolulu native will return home to Hawaii for surgery and rehab.
“We all feel horrible for Caprice,” said Spirit general manager and head coach Jim Gabarra. “We are confident that she will work tirelessly to get through this challenge and return better than ever.”
The Spirit drafted the UCLA product with the 19th overall pick in the 2015 NWSL College Draft. In her two seasons with the Spirit, Dydasco has made 20 appearances, 15 starts, totaling 1418 minutes. The left back had two assists this season, both to rookie forward Cheyna Williams.
