The Washington Spirit announced today their partnership with Metro Orthopedics & Sports Therapy (M.O.S.T) and Explosive Performance / Sport&Health Clubs for the 2014 NWSL season.

M.O.S.T will rejoin the Spirit for the upcoming season to provide medical services to the players. Their physicians have been recognized as “Top Docs” in the Washington-Baltimore area and are the team physicians, strength and conditioning coaches and consultants for US Soccer and the official sports medicine provider for D.C. United Men’s team.

“Myself and everyone at M.O.S.T are extremely excited to continue our partnership with the Washington Spirit.” said Emily Fortunato, Head Athletic Trainer. “M.O.S.T has provided sports medicine services to the top soccer clubs in the area for years, and we are excited to extend that tradition with the Washington Spirit.”

Explosive Performance and Sport&Health Clubs design programs to enhance and improve an athlete’s performance. EP will develop specific programs for the Spirit players and work with the team throughout the 2014 season.

“Explosive Performance and Sport&Health Clubs look forward to continuing and building our relationship with the Washington Spirit as the official strength and conditioning program for the team.” said Kevin Boyle EP Director. “Our mission is to use science to ensure that the Spirit players have world-class physical preparation and recovery strategies to maximize their potential on game day.”

The Washington Spirit team will report for preseason in early March with the first game set to kick off in April. Season tickets are currently on sale at tickets.washingtonspirit.com.
