The time has come, Spirit fans. The team has announced that deposits for 2014 season tickets are now available. After an amazing season of support from the best fans in the NWSL, Maureen Hendricks Field at Maryland SoccerPlex is going to be the site for even better action next year. The best seats are going to fill up fast, so act now.
It takes just a fully refundable $25 deposit to hold your place in the seat selection line for next season. That deposit entitles you to the opportunity to choose your seat when the tickets themselves go on sale later this month, with seat selections being offered in the order that the deposits are received. (Returning season ticket holders will have the first chance to keep their current seats.)
The Spirit are expanding reserved seating to include the entirety of sections 101-110 on the Discovery Sports Center side of the stadium in 2014 so tons of great seats are up for grabs. The best seats won’t last long, and season ticket deposits are fully refundable so there’s no reason to wait.
A free team scarf will be provided to the first 500 fans reserving and paying their 2014 seats in full prior to November 15, 2013. All tickets will be in “Early Bird” pricing through the end of the year, and returning season ticket holders will all receive a $20 credit towards a 2014 package due the lack of a 12th home game in 2013.
The best seats at Maureen Hendricks Field are just a few feet off the touchline. Field side seating has been a huge hit in the summer of 2013, and a spot there for each game next season is ready at an early bird rate of $600.
There will be three different assigned seat pricing levels in what was referred to in 2013 as the “Home Side” stands, but will become simply “Reserved” for 2014. The top assigned seat sections just behind the team benches will be “Club Reserved” sections 105 and 106 and start at a $300 early bird rate. The next two sections, 104 and 107, plus the remaining top rows seats in all sections and four-seats in from the adjacent isles in sections 103 and 108 will all be “VIP Reserved” and are available at $240 for early bird rates. The rest of the seating in sections 101, 102, 103, 108, 109, and 110 will be “Premium Reserved” at the $180 early bird rate.
The Spirit will not have a formal full season plan for General Admission seating, but will instead offer three tiers of a General Admission Voucher Plan at the 10, 15 and 20 voucher level, with no limit on the number of vouchers that can be used per game (though certain deadlines per game on voucher redemptions may be imposed). The three plans start with the 10-voucher plan at the early bird rate of $150.
As early as next week, Spirit ticket representatives will begin contacting 2014 season ticket deposit list members to being the process of seat selection. All 2013 season ticket holders will have only until September 30, 2013, to commit to their 2103 season ticket location. All seats will go on sale to the general public on October 1, 2013, with the early bird pricing in effect through the end of the year.
