Washington Spirit Super Y Academy Success in 2016

The Washington Spirit Super Y Academy found success in 2016 both individually and as teams thanks to the hard work of our players, coaches, and staff.

“We are proud of all the growth and development in our Super Y program,” said Washington Spirit Super Y Academy Technical Director Jim Gabarra. “The individual recognition and team success is wonderful for our entire club.”

Six teams qualified to represent the Spirit at the 2016 Super Y League North American Finals which will take place December 9-13 in Bradenton, FL. In 2015, the Spirit Academy sent five teams to the Finals, with the Virginia U16 Red team winning the National Championship.
