Two Spirit Academy – Baltimore Armour players receive U.S. U-17 Women’s National Team call-ups

Boyds, MD (November 7, 2017) – Washington Spirit Academy – Baltimore Armour forward Jordan Canniff and goalkeeper Cayla White have been named to the U.S. U-17 Women’s National Team roster for a training camp coming up November 11-19.

U.S. U-17 WNT head coach Mark Carr called 22 players into the camp, which will be split between Sunrise, Florida (Nov. 11-14) and Mexico City (Nov. 14-19). Following three days of training as a team in Florida, the U.S. U-17s will travel to Mexico City for a set of two friendlies in three days against the Mexico U-17 Women’s National Team.

Both games – on Nov. 16 and Nov. 18 – will be at Mexico’s National Training Center and will serve as excellent preparation for both teams ahead of the 2018 CONCACAF U-17 Women’s Championship. The continental championship will be held in Nicaragua next spring and will qualify three teams for the 2018 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay.

Canniff is one of four players on the USA roster with 10 or more international caps with the U-17 side. Canniff, who was a member of the USA’s 2016 U-17 Women’s World Cup team in Jordan, enters the camp with 16 caps at this level.
