BOYDS, MD. (Mar. 26, 2015) — The Washington Spirit announced today a new relationship with Calvert Soccer Association (CSA) as a Youth Club Partner for the 2015 season. The Spirit Youth Club Partnerships were formed to create a unique relationship between local clubs and the Spirit with the objective of providing valuable experiences and services to area youth soccer clubs, their staff, their parents and their players.
“We’re very excited to have Calvert Soccer Association join the Spirit as a Youth Group Partner and appreciate their commitment to the Spirit,” said Ashlee Comber, Spirit vice president of operations. “We are pleased with the connection that our director of sales, Rob Bartlett has made with CSA and the relationship that they have developed.”
This relationship provides players and families in CSA with unique development opportunities, including a clinic to be held at the Calverton School this summer exclusive to the Calvert Soccer Association community and discounted tickets for CSA families throughout the 2015 season.
“I am excited about the new partnership formed between the Spirit and the club,” said Calvert Soccer Association President Mark McCormick. “Our programs are designed to provide opportunities and show the community what it takes to be successful at any level. Having a relationship with the Spirit fits perfectly with these goals. I want to thank both Ray Mahar, our Pro Team Liaison, and Rob Bartlett for their hard work developing this relationship.”
“I look forward to this new relationship with The Washington Spirit,” said Mahar. “Our players are very excited to get a chance to train and participate with these top notch professional players.”
The Spirit will kick off their third season on Saturday, April 18 against the defending National Women’s Soccer League champions FC Kansas City. On-field experiences for local youth teams are still available and can be booked by calling 301-337-8579 or emailing email@example.com.
