Boyds, MD (November 20, 2017) – Washington Spirit – Baltimore Armour forward Jordan Canniff and goalkeeper Cayla White helped the U.S. U-17 Women’s National Team get the best of Mexico in a two-game set of friendlies played at the Mexico National Team Training Center on November 16 and 18.
White and Canniff both started and played the full time in the opening game, a 1-1 draw. Canniff provided the assist on the USA’s only goal of the match, scored by Maya Doms in the ninth minute. Meanwhile, White and the USA back line held Mexico to just a lone goal as well.
In the second leg on Saturday, Canniff entered as a second half substitute, earning her 18th international cap at the U-17 level. She finished off the scoring for the USA in a 4-0 rout, netting an 80th minute goal, her eighth career strike for the U-17 Women’s National Team.
