Jordan Canniff scores three goals for U.S. U-17 Women’s National Team at CFA International Tournament

Boyds, MD (July 16, 2017) – Washington Spirit – Baltimore Armour forward Jordan Canniff netted three goals in three games for the U.S. U-17 Women’s National Team while competing at the CFA International Women’s Youth Football Tournament in China.

Canniff opened the scoring in the 35th minute for the USA in the team’s first game of the event on Wednesday, July 12, a 2-0 win over Japan. She played the full 90 minutes in the victory.

In the USA’s second match at the tournament, Canniff played the full 90 minutes once again during a 1-1 draw against Canada.

She saved her best performance for last, scoring two goals against host nation China in the tournament finale on Sunday. Despite Canniff’s brace, China defeated the U.S. U-17s in an entertaining, back-and-forth contest by a final score of 5-4.
