Washington Spirit Reserves 2016

After playing the 2011 and 2012 season as D.C. United Women, our WPSL team enters its fourth season of play under the Washington Spirit club structure, with all focus on using the WPSL team to provide opportunities for top players to develop into full professionals. The WPSL team is a fully amateur team. In the now folded W-League, the Washington Spirit Reserves were Eastern Conference Champions in 2012 and placed 3rd in the W-League Championship in 2012 and 2013. In 2014 the Reserves made it to the W-League final where they placed 2nd after losing to the Pali Blues. In the last season of the W-League, the Reserves played the Colorado Pride in the finals in Quebec, Canada and became the W-League Champions for the 2015 season under coaches Kati Jo Spisak and JP Sousa. The Reserves currently play in the Colonial region of the WPSL.
