The Washington Spirit professional women’s soccer club are hosting the first annual Spirit Invitational and Showcase over the weekend of August 10, 11, and 12 2018 in Columbia, Maryland.
The girls-only invitational will feature all teams from both of the Washington Spirit’s U.S. Soccer Girls Development Academy clubs, as well as other Development Academy programs. Pre-academy teams from Washington Spirit’s youth partner clubs will also play host in 9-a-side games.
Ages & Format:
Girls Teams Only
U11 (2008) – 12 teams / 9v9 / 3 games
U12 (2007) – 12 teams / 9v9 / 3 games
U13 (2006) – 12 teams / 11 v 11 / 2 games*
U14 (2005)– 12 teams / 11 v 11 / 2 games*
U15 (2004) – 12 teams / 11 v 11 / 2 games*
U16 (2003) – 10 teams / 11 v 11 / 2 games
U17 (2002) – 12 teams / 11 v 11 / 2 games*
U19 (2000-2001) – 12 teams / 11 v 11 / 2 games*

Friday night games will only be scheduled for willing teams and may be a determining factor during application review.
Cost:
$800 per team for 1-6 teams per club
$700 per team for 7 or more teams per club (pay in full now, we’ll refund $100 per team after the tournament)
Payments all due either at time of application or within 10 days thereafter. Refunds will be sent in full to non-accepted beginning July 9, 2018.

May 14, 2018 – Applications Opened
June 1, 2018 – Rolling Acceptances Begin with Teams Published
July 2, 2018 – Full Accepted List Published & Schedules Published
July 9, 2018 – Refunds for non-accepted Teams Processed
July 23, 2018 – Final Schedules Posted
