Boyds, MD (September 1, 2018) – The Washington Spirit’s season finale against Sky Blue FC at the Maryland SoccerPlex has been postponed due to severe weather in the area.
Tonight’s match was slated to kickoff at 7 p.m. ET, but was delayed during pregame due to lightning in the area. After more than two hours of continued lightning in the vicinity of the stadium, the decision was made to postpone the game.
The match has been rescheduled for Sunday, September 2. Kickoff is set for 10 a.m. ET at the Maryland SoccerPlex. All tickets for tonight’s match will be honored. Gates open at 9:30 a.m. ET.
Sunday’s match will be live streamed on the NWSL website and app.
