The Washington Spirit would like to say a big THANK YOU to every member of the #SpiritFamily for your support this season. You packed the Plex every game and cheered the team all the way to the playoffs. And what a year this was! This season saw the return of veteran Spirit players such as Christine Nairn and Tori Huster as well as the addition of new exciting players such as Megan Oyster and Whitney Church. Our team was home to the league’s Golden Boot winner, six-time NWSL Player of the Week, and NWSL MVP Crystal Dunn. We had seven members of our team participate in the World Cup, two of them winning it all. Our home record of 6-1-3 was thanks in large part to the amazing crowd who came game after game to cheer on the Spirit.
Thank you for making 2015 such a memorable year! We can’t wait to see you again in 2016!
