Spirit vs. Penn State preseason match moved to Maryland SoccerPlex Field 19

BOYDS, MD (March 15, 2017) – The Washington Spirit’s first 2017 preseason match, which is set for this Saturday, March 18 at 2 p.m. against Penn State University, has been moved to Field 19 at the Maryland SoccerPlex.

The match was originally scheduled to be played on the SoccerPlex’s Maureen Hendricks Field but has been moved to the artificial turf surface on Field 19 due to the snow.

Due to limited space on Field 19, tickets are no longer being distributed for the match. Season ticket holders and fans who have already acquired tickets for the match are welcome to attend. However, the match will be considered “standing room only” for all fans in attendance, as there will be no seating available.

The Spirit will continue the preseason on Saturday, March 25 against the University of North Carolina at Evergreen SportsPlex in Leesburg, Virginia as the club hosts its first ever match in the Commonwealth.
