The Washington Spirit completed the 2015 National Women’s Soccer League College Draft by selecting defenders Megan Oyster (UCLA), Caprice Dydasco (UCLA) and Whitney Church (Penn State). All three draft selections will join the Spirit in March for preseason.

In addition, the Spirit acquired the No. 13 overall pick and two second round picks in the 2016 College Draft in exchange for forward Jodie Taylor. Washington used the newly acquired pick to take Oyster, a native of Chicago, Ill.

In a later transaction, the Spirit acquired two second round draft picks in the 2016 College Draft from FC Kansas City, who had traded for the picks earlier in the day. In exchange, Kansas City received the Spirit’s No. 19 overall pick. With the selection, the Spirit drafted Hawaiian Caprice Dydasco.

With the club’s final pick of the draft, the Spirit took Ashburn, Virginia native Whitney Church with the No. 30 overall selection.
