Boyds, MD (March 26, 2018) – Washington Spirit goalkeeper Aubrey Bledsoe earned an NWSL Save of the Week nomination for Week 1 of the 2018 season.
Bledsoe piled up 10 saves in her Spirit debut on Saturday night in Seattle, and her final stop of the evening – which came in stoppage time to keep Washington within striking distance – on a close-range shot taken by Seattle’s Megan Rapinoe. Bledsoe displayed quick reflexes on the diving stop, shutting down the attempt from deep inside the Spirit box.
