The Washington Spirit closed out preseason with a 1-0 victory over the University of North Carolina on Saturday evening. In the eighth minute Spirit goalkeeper Kelsey Wys sent a booming kick down the middle of the field to Estefi Banini. Banini took control of the ball about 40 yards from goal and evaded multiple defenders before dribbling forward and rocketing her shot past the UNC goalkeeper.
