Boyds, MD (July 12, 2017) – The Washington Spirit is hard at work on the training fields at the Maryland SoccerPlex this week in preparation for Saturday’s match-up in South Texas against the Houston Dash.
It will be the only visit to BBVA Compass Stadium this season for the Spirit, who split the two games against Houston at the SoccerPlex earlier in the year. This Saturday’s game is set to kickoff at 8:30 p.m. ET, and will be available to view on live stream via the go90 mobile app and website.
Washington Spirit Academy – Virginia and U.S. Youth National Team forward Gabrielle Robinson joined the NWSL players and coaching staff on Tuesday for a guest appearance with the professional side. It was Robinson’s second time taking the field with the pro team this summer. She and Washington Spirit – Baltimore Armour forward Jordan Canniff are the first players representing the Spirit Academy programs in Virginia and Maryland to guest train with the pro side, ahead of the inaugural U.S. Soccer Girls’ Development Academy season this fall.
