Nigeria Women’s National Team

Nigeria won the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations with a 1-0 win over host nation Cameroon in front of a capacity crowd of 40,000 fans. Francisca Ordega started the match for the Super Falcons. Cameroon had a few chances to the delight of the home crowd, but with five minutes left in the match, Nigeria’s Desire Oparanozie found the back of the net. Nigeria held on for the victory.
