Denise Reddy came to the Spirit as an Assistant Coach prior to the 2016 NWSL season. Reddy has served as head coach of Vittsjö GIK and Linköping FC in Sweden and B93/HIK/Skjold in Denmark. Under her direction, Linköping FC reached the quarterfinals of the Champions League in 2011. Previously, Denise was an assistant coach for Chicago Red Stars from 2008-2010 and Jersey Sky Blue from 2006-2008. She was one of the original founders of Sky Blue FC and was instrumental in the establishment of the Sky Blue Soccer School. Reddy holds a UEFA Pro License.

From 1995-2005, Reddy played center back for Malmö FF in Sweden, reaching the Champions League semi-finals in 2004. She served as team captain for seven years. The New Jersey native played college soccer for Rutgers University, where she was a four year starter and an NSCAA All-American. She received her Bachelors Degree in Exercise Science and Communications.
